Hankook Tire at ADAC Truck-Grand Prix

Hankook Tire has announced that for the sixth time in a row, it will be participating in the annual ADAC Truck-Grand-Prix taking place at the Nürburgring Motorsports complex in Nürburg, Germany.

The company will showcase selected products from its portfolio of truck and bus tires, such as its SmartControl winter tire line and year-round treads of SmartFlex designed for medium-haul and regional transport. Visitors will be able to see the display in Hankook Brand World in the paddock from July 19 to 21.

Several truck manufacturers, such as MAN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Scania and Schmitz-Cargobull, currently use Hankook’s SmartFlex and SmartControl tires, as well as other tires offered by the company.

At the Truck-Grand-Prix, the steering axle profile SmartFlex AH31, the drive axle tire SmartFlex DH31 and the trailer profile SmartFlex TH31 will be showcased from the SmartFlex product line. According to the company, it will also present “winter specialists” such as SmartControl AW02 for the steering axle and SmartControl DW07, which have been equipped with suitable properties for use on winter roads.

“The Truck-Grand-Prix is, alongside the IAA Commercial Vehicles, one of the most important European events for heavy and medium duty trucks,” said Han-Jun Kim, President of Hankook Tire Europe. “Together with our sales team, our customers and the visitors on site, I am delighted to present Hankook’s latest portfolio in the truck and bus tire sector.”

Jochen Hahn, five-time European Truck Racing Champion is also scheduled to be present at the Truck-Grand-Prix event. “I am looking forward to acting as brand ambassador for Hankook again this year,” said Hahn. “The high-performance truck products are impressive and are an important part of my daily work.”
