Goodyear Introduces Eagle Exhilarate
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has introduced its ultra-high-performance product, the new Eagle Exhilarate.
The new release, a result of more than three years of research and testing, aims to deliver on consumer demands, especially wet performance.
It has been designed to provide excellent traction and handling for swifter acceleration, precise steering and better control, intending to outpace its segment in wet handling, wet braking and wet cornering grip.
“With its leading-edge technology and superior performance in wet conditions, the Exhilarate showcases the overall credentials of the entire Eagle line of Goodyear products,” says Mike Dwyer, Goodyear’s Chief Customer Officer, North America Consumer.
This all-season product features a new built-in gauge tool and a high performing tread compound. The strategical placement of the gauge tool in eight locations around the tire will allow consumers to conveniently measure both vehicle alignment and tread depth. The tire will be offered in 36 W or Y speed rated sizes. With this new release, Goodyear aims at targeting a passionate, well informed consumer base, the company has said in a statement. Its bold appearance style is designed to match the vehicles that this consumer demographic drives.
The Eagle Exhilarate includes the following features:
- ActiveGrip Technology for optimum traction for performance handling;
- ActiveBraking Technology to facilitate shorter braking distances on wet and dry surfaces;
- ActiveStrength Technology for better handling with a strong lightweight construction; and,
- A new, all-season tread compound featuring an optimized combination of high-performance polymers, fortified with traction resins for better handling and traction in wet, dry and snow conditions.
The Eagle Exhilarate is to replace the Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season tire. With this new release, Goodyear intends to offer fitments for the following: Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, BMW 3-Series, Porsche Cayman, Dodge Challenger, Audi A6, Cadillac CTS, BMW 5-Series, Mazda 6, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes E-Class, Lexus LC.
