Tire dealers prepare for the 2015 selling season.

Atlas Tire Wholesale’s latest installment of Atlas Tire University, focused on the coming spring selling season. Officially known as “The Atlas Spring Tire Training & Trade Show,” the program was designed to help Atlas Tire clients prepare for consumer demand in 2015.

Besides taking advantage of face time with the Tire Manufacturers at the very busy trade show, clients spent time in “class,” gaining valuable insight into the changing market here in Canada. James Krein, Category Analyst, Performance Tires for Goodyear explained how recent economic realities are likely to affect the type of vehicles consumers will be driving, which in turn will affect the type of tires that will be in demand. He also shed light on how OEM fitments are changing the tire landscape, and offered the audience advice on which sizes they should be stocking.

During a presentation by digital marketing solutions provider, Net Driven, Atlas Tire clients learned about the importance of not just having a website, but an online presence that will attract customers. Today’s Internet-savvy consumers won’t think twice to judge a tire shop based on the quality of that shop’s website. In addition, search engines like Google are raising the bar, and forcing retailers to keep up with current trends, or fall behind in online rankings.

While enjoying the complimentary lunch, participants were able to network with their peers. Many Atlas Tire clients walked away with prizes, generously provided by Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Hankook, Kumho, Michelin, Pirelli and Yokohama.
