Nova Bus Opens New Development Centre
Nova Bus, one of the largest providers of sustainable transit solutions in North America, officially opened its new Development Centre.
The Development Centre, located at 350 Arthur-Sauvé Boulevard in Saint-Eustache near the Nova Bus plant, will focus on the innovation and development of sustainable mobility technologies, bus electrification, and conceptualizing the future transformation of public transport in North America. The company’s goal is to offer products that are always increasingly reliable, safer, and more environmentally friendly.
“These new offices will be a place of excellence in research and innovation, which will foster the continued advancement and development of Nova Bus vehicles,” said Louis Côté, Senior Director, New Product Development & Business Transformation.
The centre occupies a total of 22,000 sq ft over three floors and was developed to create a comfortable work environment that promotes creativity and efficiency for the 150 employees that will be working there.
“Over the past 25 years, we have been striving to satisfy our customers by building buses that meet their expectations and those of public transit users. These days, technologies and processes evolve at a very high rate. With this new Development Center, we intend to be at the forefront and to offer sustainable transit solutions that meet the needs of smart connected cities,” added Martin Larose, Vice President and General Manager of Nova Bus.
The inauguration was attended by Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities; Linda Lapointe, MP for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles; Benoît Charette, Provincial Minister of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change, and MNA for Deux-Montagnes; and Pierre Charron, Mayor of Saint-Eustache.
