Hunter Engineering Introduces New BL Series Bench Lathe
Hunter Engineering introduced its new BL Series bench lathe at the SEMA Show being held this week.
Unveiled at its booth, (South Hall, number 41013), the Hunter has developed the BL Series with new capabilities that have been added onto the quality possessed in the previous generation versions.
In order to prevent vibration buildup (chatter) that could occur when the technician is machining rotors at a fixed speed, Hunter has used the patented Anti-Chatter Technology (ACT) in its BL Series lathe. Without using chatter bands or extra devices that are not required, this technology allows the equipment to deliver smoother rotor finish.
The optional Digi-Cal available with the BL Series is to allow technicians to verify the rotor thickness as well as fix the cut depth accurately. According to Hunter, this helps achieve a perfect one-cut pass.
Efficiency has been a consideration by Hunter when designing the latest bench lathe as technicians will be able to change from rotors to drums quickly, thus delivering faster service. One button push is enough for adjusting spindle speed.
In-depth demonstration of the BL Series bench lathe has been provided at the 2019 SEMA Show for the benefit of attendees.
