Tenneco Expands Monroe Product Line

Tenneco has introduced 17 Monroe Quick-Strut premium replacement strut assembly part numbers and 17 premium shock absorbers and conversion kits, this year.

With the latest additions, Tenneco now provides combined coverage of over 2.8 million late-model passenger vehicles. The company’s Monroe product line represents 16 million potential replacement opportunities.

The Monroe Quick-Struts are assembled in Paragould, Ark., Tenneco’s ride control production facility. Its part numbers include 12 additional units that are first available in the aftermarket from a major ride control supplier.

The new Quick-Strut numbers now cover the following applications:

  • 2014-2018 Nissan Sentra (front and exclusive coverage)
  • 2010-2013 Ford Transit Connect (front and exclusive coverage)
  • 1993-2001 Subaru Impreza (front and exclusive coverage)
  • 1998-2000 Subaru Forester (front and exclusive coverage)
  • 2011-2012 Honda Odyssey (front and exclusive coverage)
  • 2000-2004 Subaru Legacy (rear)
  • 2006-2007 Subaru Outback (rear)
  • 2012-2014 Ford Edge (front)
  • 2013-2015 Ford Focus (front)

To provide OE-style ride and handling as well as better service life, Tenneco has been designing application-based Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies since 2003.

In a release by the company, Tenneco asserts that each assembly includes premium Monroe strut technology tuned and tested to address the unique characteristics of its corresponding application. It also includes several other features such as a U.S.-grade steel and OE-equivalent spring design paired with a vehicle-specific coil spring, an OE-style upper strut mount that is paired with a vehicle-specific coil spring, and an OE-style upper strut mount and bearing plate, among others.

Tenneco provides limited lifetime warranty and exclusive “Feel the Difference Guarantee” money-back consumer offer for all Quick-Strut assemblies.

Tenneco has also introduced new Monroe ride control part numbers—Monroe OESpectrum rear shock absorbers for 2016-2017 Chevrolet Malibu, 2014-2016 Mazda CX-5 and 2016-2018 Toyota Prius. Additionally, the latest Monroe suspension conversion kits now cover several models of popular vehicles, such as Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Avalanche, Chevrolet Suburban and Chevrolet Tahoe. The suspension conversion kits are designed to convert worn air spring, hydraulic self-levelling and/or electronic suspensions to conventional mechanical suspensions without activating the vehicles’ electronic warning signals.

Each Monroe kit is equipped to restore factory ride height and provide a comfortable ride and handling performance. Its parts and hardware are designed for a superior fit and it comes with detailed installation instructions. Technicians may install the kits without making any structural changes to the vehicles.
