Mitchell 1 Enhances ProDemand Repair Information System

Mitchell 1 has upgraded ProDemand, its search engine for auto repair information, integrating it with SureTrack Community.

The integration will help in delivering relevant information from SureTrack’s interactive community of users, in addition to OEM-sourced content and SureTrack real-world insights.

“This powerful new feature allows technicians to easily find community questions and answers, as well as solutions related to the vehicle in their bay,” explains Gary Hixson, Marketing Manager, ProDemand. “This offers additional real-world insight that technicians can use to reach an accurate diagnosis and complete the repair more efficiently.”

When a technician inputs a code, component or symptom, ProDemand’s enhanced 1Search Plus search feature provides relevant community trends on the search results screen in addition to OEM information and SureTrack Real Fixes for the selected vehicle. The trends show posted questions with answers or posted fixes based on the discussion threads in SureTrack Community module in the software. Over 10 years of posted fixes and community discussion are present in the SureTrack Community.

Additionally, the new, default filter in the Community module enables technicians to view only the community threads that are relevant to the current vehicle. Technicians first view threads related to the vehicle they are working on when navigating to Community. To see community threads for all year-make-models, they may toggle to the All Vehicles option.

Designed to help technicians find relevant repair information in a single lookup, ProDemand offers OEM repair, estimating and maintenance information and exclusive real-world industry insights. Its 1Search Plus features a user-friendly graphical “card” layout that is aligned to match the way in which technicians think about diagnosis and repair.

Expert-based Real Fixes, ADAS quick reference, scalable color wiring diagrams, the latest TSBs, common repair procedures, Top 10 Repairs dashboard and integrated estimating with the Mitchell 1 Manager SE shop management system, are some of the key features of the software.
