At the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Indianapolis, Ind., December 6-8, Elgin Industries celebrated its 100th anniversary.

The company, originally found in 1919 by Czech immigrant Martin Skok, has grown to become a global supplier of engine and chassis components for the automotive OEM and aftermarket industries.

Today, Elgin is one of the world’s premier suppliers of push rods, piston pins, king pins, rocker arms, timing components, suspension parts and other products. In addition, its Elgin PRO-STOCK brand is a leading player in the street performance and racing markets.

The company’s Elgin World Trade division exports engine, chassis and other parts to customers throughout Central and South America, the Middle East and other regions.

Headquartered in Elgin, Ill., Elgin Industries is still a family operated business, with the third generation of the Skok family now at the helm. It also designs, engineers and manufactures parts in North America at a location that’s just a few miles from the original factory.

When I hear people say that no one manufactures parts in the U.S. anymore, I can’t help but remind them that we continue to grow, decade after decade, with operations based right here in Elgin, Illinois,” said Elgin Industries President Bill Skok. “We have never strayed from my grandfather’s commitment to offer world-class products and services and to treat every customer and employee like a member of our family.”
