With over 17 years of automotive experience, he has worked for Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Infiniti, Ford and a Retail Automotive Group in several fields, including sales, marketing, aftersales, retail, financial services, and networking development.
“Adam will continue to drive strong sales momentum in the Canadian Market. I am wishing him the best in his new leadership role,” said Alexander Lvovich, Managing Director, Volvo Car of Canada.
Kostanowicz holds a bachelor’s degree from York University, a diploma from Mohawk College, a certificate in Direct Marketing from the Canadian Marketing Association, and a certificate from the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council.
Volvo Car Corporation is also appointing Matt Girgis as the new Managing Director of Volvo Car Canada, effective June 1, 2019. He will be replacing Alexander Lvovich, who will return to Rockleigh, NJ. Lvovich’s leadership resulted in doubled sales in the past three years.
“I would like to thank Alexander for his leadership in Canada,” said Anders Gustafsson, President and CEO, Volvo Car USA. “I would also like to congratulate Matt on his new role.”
Girgis joined the company in 2008 and most recently served as Controller Car Operations & Deputy Head of Finance Volvo Car, Americas Region. He has prior experience in Volvo Car Canada, working for three years as a controller and Head of Finance before moving to Volvo Cars Americas Region based in Rockleigh, NJ, USA, in 2016. Previously, Matt worked in several positions at BMW Canada in Network and Finance.
“The Volvo brand has seen strong growth in Canada thanks to the award-winning product range and a strong performance by the Canadian retailers,” said Matt Girgis. “I’m excited to return home to Canada and will focus on continuing the momentum while making our retailer network stronger and more profitable.”
