707-hp Jeep Debuts in Edmonton
The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is unveiled on FCA Canada’s largest Edmonton show display to date.
The new 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk made its Canadian debut at the Edmonton Motorshow, a week after its global debut in New York.
The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk boasts an impressive 707-hp supercharged 6.2-litre V8 engine coupled to a high-torque capacity TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.
According to FCA, it rockets from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, does the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 116 mph (187 km/h), and boasts a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). Thanks to beefy Brembo brakes, 60-0 mph braking distance in 114 feet (35 meters).
“To have a vehicle as exciting as the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk make its Canadian debut at the Edmonton Motorshow is incredibly exciting,” said Bob Devlin, Manager, Western Business Centre, FCA Canada.
Built in Detroit at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant, the 2018 Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will arrive in Jeep showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2017.
