After Yokohama, Michelin will talk « green » too

“Michelin and Sustainability” will be the topic of Don Baldwin, product marketing manager for Michelin North America Inc., at the Tire Industry Association Environmental Symposium scheduled for the Ocean City Convention Center, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

During his session, Baldwin will describe for attendees the activities that support Michelin’s sustainable transportation and freight movement programs; the operation of Michelin manufacturing plants to minimize environmental impact; and the company’s control of materials and suppliers to enhance "green” operations.

Baldwin also will show how Michelin encourages product designs to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and how the company uses recycling and other end-of-life activities for its products to reduce their overall environmental impact.

To register for the conference, visit the “Events” section of www.tireindustry.org or call 800-876-8372 ext. 104.
