Castrol Enviro-pack Minimizes Environmental Footprint
Wakefield Canada introduced a dramatically different way to deliver oil. The e-pack delivers enough oil for 5 changes (averaging 4.2 litres) in a simple 22.7 litre bulk pack that uses a cardboard container with plastic bladder to minimize packaging.
This revolutionary container system, a first in the lubricant industry, uses new techniques to provide low volume pricing to jobbers and installers whose business volume cannot take advantage of bulk delivery.
Wakefield is initially offering the e-pack of Castrol GTX High Mileage in the two most popular grades, 5W30 and 10W30. This new package allows installers to add this at a low cost without a huge commitment. At the same time, they can be proud to deliver oil that comes in a recycled, recycle-able box with a minimum amount of environmental impact.
The 22.7–litre pack is convenient, lightweight and allows flexible usage thanks to its clean-fill spigot system. Initially the e-pack will be available to the DIFM oil change installer via the automotive jobber network. Disposal is easy: the oil bladder is treated in the usual manner but the cardboard container flattens for ordinary cardboard recycling. The small shelf footprint (9.5” w x 15” d x 12” h) saves space.
