Monday, December 21, 2009 A Shell Hydrogen Station in the Bronx for the Equinox
General Motors, Shell Hydrogen, and the Department of Sanitation in New York City have completed a cluster of stations that will make it easier for the participants in Project Driveway to travel longer distances without fear of running out of the hydrogen fuel that powers the demonstration Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. Indeed, 100 of those Equinox were lent to DSNY officials as the small Chevy SUVs have already accumulated more than 1 million miles of real-world driving by citizens, celebrities, and corporations in the last two years. Shell Hydrogen and GM have already worked together to open stations in White Plains and at the JFK International Airport on Long Island. (ED)
