When a Lancia Becomes a Chrysler

American car manufacturer Chrysler was, in the past, the main provider of some of the most spectacular concept cars in the world, and the North American International Auto Show in Detroit was its favourite venue to unveil them. Obviously, with the company being restructured as these lines are written, there was no money for such an exercise. Nonetheless, Chrysler had the decency to keep its reputation at the last Detroit Auto show by modifying an Italian Lancia Delta from its new partner Fiat into what could be a new Chrysler, by only transforming its front end with a Chrysler grille and Chrysler trims. Quite an exercise in bodywork! (ED)
