Monday, February 15, 2010 Kia’s Ray Concept Car Was Designed in California
Korean car maker Kia unveiled its latest concept car at the Chicago Auto Show—the Ray. Based on a Forte platform, the Ray, designed at the manufacturer’s Irvine, California Design Center, could preview the way Kia sees its styling in the upcoming years. The rooftop of the very futuristic four-door Ray sedan is made of solar cells that help power climate control and extra lighting. The Ray is the fifth design created by the Kia Design Center after the Soul, the Forte, the Koup and the Sorento. (ED)
