Tuesday, December 15, 2009 An Original Way to Promote a Concours d’Élégance
The Amelia Island Concours d’Élégance held in Florida is one of the world’s most spectacular meets of vintage cars. It will be held once again in 2010, this time from March 12 to 14, and should attract some 250 rare automobiles from around the world. More than 15,000 visitors are also expected. Last year’s winner was a 1931 Voisin C20 Demi-berline, while in the performance division, a 1923 Miller Special Supercharged received the trophy. In order to promote the upcoming event, organizers of the 2010 Concours d’Élégance have used the picture of an aluminium body of a 1940s roadster under restoration. Could you identify the car? (ED)
