A Time for Gratitude

Farmbro Inc., a well-known Canadian fleet upfitter, took the time to thank customers and to express the company’s gratitude for a great 2009. Farmbro’s first annual Christmas Wine and Cheese Customer Appreciation event was held at the Credit Valley Golf and Country Club on December 21st, with over 40 in attendance.

“Dealerships, municipalities, leasing companies, OEMs and transport companies were represented at our Wine and Cheese Customer Appreciation event,” says Omar Majeed, Farmbro’s marketing manager.

A year of change

While Farmbro customers enjoyed refreshments and the opportunity to get to know one another, Farmbro staff ran a “Year in Review” slide show, highlighting some of the changes and marketing events that took place throughout the year.

2009 was a year of change for Farmbro. “We restructured our team to better serve the needs of our customers,” Majeed says, “and we also invested in green fleet technologies. We even spoke on behalf of the industry at the 2009 Federal Fleet Conference, describing green trends in the industry.”

Customers can achieve their green goals by improving aerodynamics, employing specific electronics and focusing on weight reduction,” Majeed adds. “We focus on weight reduction through the use of lighter materials like aluminum, we offer anti-idling technologies, and we survey our suppliers to find those who have invested in green technologies.”

The Credit Valley Golf and Country Club proved to be a great setting for the Customer Appreciation event, and a number of guests walked away with a gift basket - a welcome door prize.

“The country club offered a more intimate setting which was conducive to great conversation,” Majeed says. “ Everyone enjoyed themselves and we are grateful so many of our customers were able to attend. It was just our way of saying thank you.”
